The Strategic Vision
The Implementation Strategy outlines the strategic community and economic development framework derived from research, public input, and Steering Committee feedback. It begins with three guiding principles that cut across the strategy and communicate its broad aims. It is organized into five Action Areas that group areas of strategic activity.
Below are strategic objectives that the community will address through implementation and the tactical recommendations that correspond to specific actions.

Track the Progress
The measurement of the strategy’s successes and challenges will drive momentum and guide future efforts around the five Action Areas. In addition to the Action Area Metrics, these Core Metrics will track the overall levels of prosperity and growth in the region (which includes Harris, Muscogee, Chattahoochee, Marion, and Russell County) in our Annual Scorecard:
- Population Growth
- Average Annual Wage
- Median Household Income
- Total Labor Force
- Per Capita Income
- Poverty Rate
- and more!
In addition, each year Columbus 2025 will follow up with the community on its successes, challenges, and future direction in our Annual Report.
